What are the health dangers of fizzy drinks?!

Question:

What are the health dangers of fizzy drinks?

Including non-sugar, low fat drinks. In particular, the effect on weight and teeth/gums.

Answers:
the acid in carbonated drinks causes the tooth enamel to thin, making teeth more sensitive and vulnerable. ordinary drinks have a really high level of sugar, which can result in weight gain and high blood sugar, cola drinks also have high levels of caffeine which can cause heart palpitations, diet drinks have high levels of artificial sweetners which have a laxative effect in high concentrations

The amount of additives the put in i.e. colourings, flavourings etc etc. An enormous amount of sugar which rots your teeth and goodness knows what else to your insides! In India recently all Coke had to be called back as it was made with unclean water!!!
I no longer drink ANY fizzy drinks!
