Each molecule of water evaporates as it recieves the amount of energy that is required to turn it from a liquid to a gas. Therefore, the energy required to evaporate a puddle, at room temperature is there, but just over a longer period of time, as it takes time for each molecule to achieve the evaporation energy they require.

Water doesn't dry. It evaporates. It changes states from liquid to gas.

There is more water in the bowl than in the air so its tries to balence things out. Some of the water molecules in the bowl evapourate into the air, then the concentration of water in the air becomes closer to the concertration in the bowl.

This damp air blows away from the bowl so there in new dry air over the water and more evapouration happens. This explains why evapouration happens faster when it is windy.

yeah, the first answer is right...
the question's a bit weird...water cannot "dry"...
it changes form...from a liquid to a gas.
a liquid and a solid are both more similar to each other than what a gas is to either of them.
but yeah....evaporation.
wonderful isn't it.
thats why you notice in bathrooms, water collects on the ceiling. which produces mould.
