of course humans aren't the only animal who eat spicy things.... mexicans and asians ALWAYS eat spicy foods. they CANNOT live without the spicyness =)
if you try giving chillies to your pet , after a while they get use to it...
i think orang outang can eat chillies and all so its just matter of habit..
animals don't have nice kitchen like human and i think that's why they don't know about spices
Birds (at least parakeets and other tropical birds) love chile seeds. Two 'keets totally demolished my chile ristra when I bird-sat them for a week. They were so cute, though, I didn't mind.
Birds do eat chilli's but they don't have taste buds and have no idea they're spicy. They go for texture.
