Question:

Can you use canned mushrooms in a salad with out cooking them?

Answers:
They're already cooked. Sure.

of course, you may want to rinse them first

Yes they are pre-cooked, but I don't think they taste very good cold unless they are fresh.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!
Never used canned mushrooms in salad!

They are already cooked to death, so you don't need to cook them anymore.

Take a trip to the store and spend a few cents for FRESH mushrooms........Mushrooms should NOT be cooked in a salad.

Actually, canned mushrooms should only be used in the depths of winter in soups, stews and sauces when fresh are not available.

Yes, because they are already cooked.

yea, you might wanna rinse them first....but you do that canned mushrooms have a completely different taste them fresh ones right?

Yes you can use canned mushrooms without cooking them when they are canned they have already been processed for any use in salads etc.

I could say, almost all canned mushrooms are cooked, there could be an exception, now they should be relatively safe to consume and how to use would be of your own discretion and taste, personally I would use fresh mushrooms for a salad. I should also point out there are also a variety of these little fellows to accommodate our different culinary ventures.

Of course. If they're canned they're all ready cooked.

"Champignons" are pre-cooked in the can. That is why they are called "processed" food. Remember to wash them otherwise they will still have the taste of the water from the tin.

they are already cooked, so, I don't see why not...I might rinse them off, though...
