Does a brown egg taste different than a white one?!

Question:

Does a brown egg taste different than a white one?

Answers:
no the egg shell color has no affect on the interior product. eggs also can be green. color is an indication of chicken species and diet

I did this experiment. We worked at a fair in the chicken dept a few yrs ago. We collected all of the different colored eggs. This included brown, white, blue, yellow, orangish, etc and put them in a basket. We each tried a small sample of each. None of us could tell them apart other than they tasted fresher than the ones we got in the store.

I don't notice a difference in taste. White shelled eggs are produced by hens with white feathers and brown shelled eggs are produced by hens with red feathers. That's the only difference.

There is no taste difference due to the color of the shell. What I believe to be true is when you buy brown eggs, you are supporting a small farmer. The huge egg farms keep all white chickens because they produce faster.

The brown eggs come from brown, black or red feathered chickens. These are traditionally hens that would be raised by a farm family. When they age out of egg production they probably make a good Sunday chicken dinner.

probably not but the egg yolk sure is prettier

They have absolutely no difference in taste. My parents own a chicken farm and have brown laying and white laying hens. The only difference is in the colour of the shell. And no, one is not healthier than the other. I think you should have specified if you were talking about chicken eggs or eggs in general. So yes, that person was right that said there are green eggs. I believe some quail eggs are light blue and speckled brown. And that's where the difference lies. Duck eggs have a different flavour from chicken and goose eggs and so on.
