You can probably get it at a confectionary store, where they'd sell other cooking/baking products.
I think, but am not entirely sure, that you'll be looking for something with sacylic (sp?) acid.

a packet of kool-aid and mix it with a little sugar to the taste that you want...kool aid has recipes for sour ice cubes and things I would assume you could just use that recipe minus the water
