Should pickles really belong in burgers anymore?!

Question:

Should pickles really belong in burgers anymore?

I seriously don't like pickles, and I'm not the only one. I hate going to any burger place and having to ask for no pickles or completely forgetting and having to take them out.

So I just want to see how many people like them and how many do not (specifically on burgers, not in general).

Also, keeping in mind that cucumbers are a whole different story.

You bring up an excellent question. I love pickles (specifically the cucumber chip kind and dills) but I HATE eating it on burgers. The tangy taste of it eliminates the flavor of the burger that I am enjoying. Should pickles really belong in burgers? I believe so. It gives the eater a choice: someone who likes pickles on a pickle burger can eat the burger. Someone who hates pickles on a pickle burger can take it out then eat the burger. Now think of this scenario: Some who likes pickles on a NON-pickle burger won't get their pickles. Thats why they are on burgers. waste of pickles? maybe. Then one can argue that it would be a waste of money eating a non-healthy meal (assuming your talking about fast food burgers.)

~luv them~

Yes..I love them

I like pickles on burgers if there is no ketchup and other crap on it

I love pickles! The more the merrier!

Keep them. Even add extra!

DUDE! Pickles are the ****! They go with anything and of course they belong on a burger!

I hate them in my burger! I hate always having to say either:

Cheeseburger with mustard and ketchup only please. or
Cheeseburger with no pickles please.

i like pickles =)

if anything i ask for extra pickles....its the tomatos i dont like....i could eat straight up pickles all day...and they are awesome on burgers.....ok picklehead?

I personally like pickles on burgers, so as far as I'm concerned, YOU ARE SCREWED!

I don't. I do like pickles off to the side, though. But not in a sandwhich

ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!! However, like you, I don't like tomatoes on my burgers. I think it's perfectly ok to "have it your way!"

I like pickles!

i like pickles but not in my burger i have to take them out everytime.

I Love them!!!!

Pickles complete the best hamburger. They add a sweet taste to the burger. I don't care for pickles themselves but on a hamburger they taste Godly.

I don't like anything on my burgers, so I always order them plain with just cheese. On the occasion, I order a burger with lettuce. A lot of fast food places get my order wrong, which upsets me 'cause they should listen to my specific order and not assume I want what the majority of people want.

They should get rid of all the pickles!

Even when I get rid of the pickles, you can still
taste where the pickle was.

And if I ask for no pickles
THEY STILL PUT PICKLES!........

Is it just me or is pickles starting to sound funny after
a while?

heck yeah, I love them. low calories and high water content. good snack

I don't think so, i only know like 2 people that like pickles ON the burger, but it could still be ok like on the side or something like that.

Yuk warm pickles are nasty, only cold out of the jar if at all.

They do not belong on sandwiches, in my opinion. The most flabbergasting use of pickles on a sandwich I have ever seen was on McD's excellent McRib -- when I got a couple of those, they each had a small hand full of pickles on them. Can you imagine? It nearly ruined it for me. Picked em all off so it was fit to eat.

Send your pickles over to my table. I love them. Especially, the large sliced kosher ones. This was a dilly of a question, any way you slice it. I had to stay as cool as a cucumber to answer it. It was a little jarring.

I HATE pickles on hamburgers. I do like them on the side - but can't stand the taste of them on the actual burger. I guess it is all how you get used to eating them. I was also raised to think ketchup didn't belong on burgers either - just mayo and mustard. That is still the way I eat them.

I love them on burgers, because they add the perfect amount of saltiness and crispiness to the burger.

What are you nutts? of corse pickles should be in burgers ya weirdo!

Pickles come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and colors and flavors. They are one of the best condiments. They are awesome on burgers, especially.

Go to a quality burger joint where the burger is served naked and you tell them exactly what and how much you want. In Canada, try Harvey's and Lick's. Roy Rodger's probably qualifies in the USA.

No, don't like them. "A cheeseburger please, no pickles, no onions, sauce only..."
