BAKED FRUITED POPCORN

7 c. popped popcorn
3/4 c. candied red cherries, cut up
1 c. broken pecans
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
6 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. light corn syrup

Combine popcorn, cherries, and pecans. Mix brown sugar, butter and corn syrup and stir over medium heat until butter melts and mixture comes to a boil. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes more. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda and vanilla. Pour mixture over popcorn and stir until all the popcorn is coated.
Bake at 300 degrees for 15 minutes, stir, and bake 5-10 minutes more. Remove from oven and place in large bowl to cool. Makes 8 cups.

buy kernals in a container and pop it on the stove in your own pot in vegetable oil. Taste much better and healthier tooo

We sprinkle ours with Tony's cajun seasoning!

Try anything...I've put garlic on mine, put carmel candies in with it, just try anything you think sounds good! Be creative :)

There are tons of toppings you can shake on. Follow the link to see them:

Also, you can make peanut butter popcorn yourself or even popcorn balls. There are lots of recipes out there on the net.

Put extra butter, or salt, or caramel, or cheese in it. Tastes really good.

Sprinkle it with the powder that comes with "Kraft" Macaroni & Cheese.....Yummy!

put marshmallow cream in it after it has poped and stir it around it will be deliciouse beleive me

use an air popper and pop kernals that way, it's way healthier than using the stove because you have to pop it in oil.

However if you pop it on the stove you can use a variety of oils to flavor the popcorn. My personal favorite, use the air popper and pop the kernals, melt some butter, then if you have any macaroni and cheese, take the cheese out and pour a little bit into the container that you melted the butter in, you want enough butter to melt the cheese, so it's liquid, not chunky, so less is more. Then drizzle the cheese butter mixture over the popcorn and toss it, then you have cheesey popcorn. Another good one for kettle corn is to substitute some sugar for the cheese.

These would work with a stove method also.

Mix your favorite kind of movie candy with it. Junior Mints are a good one. You could also make pocorn balls with caramel or marshmallow.

Try mixing...

With Pop Corn...

M&M's
Peanuts

Or try different kinds of candies.

i air pop mine...
then sprinkle with season salt....or fry sprinkle...

Melting chocolate on it is good. Also, for spicy, try mulling spices.

I make my popcorn taste better before I pop it using a popcorn maker I add 3 tablespoon of sugar to the kernels. I used about one half of a cup of popcorn kernels per 3 tablespoons of sugar.

Homemade popcorn balls are great too, use about 1 cup of popcorn kernels. Pop the kernels put the popcorn in a real big bowl, mix together (1cup) dark corn syrup, (1cup) sugar in a sauce pan keep stirring until the sugar is dissolve in about 3 - 6 minutes under low heat then pour the mixture over the popcorn make sure the mixture is not hot to your touch then with buttered hands form the popcorn into balls let stand about 15 - 30 minutes before serving

my brother puts his leftover popcorn in tomato soup

While the (microwave) popcorn is popping I put almost a half cube of butter and a 1/2 cup of brown sugar in a pot on the stove and bring them to a hard boil stirring constantly for a minute or so and then pour it on the popped corn in a big bowl and stir rapidly. It's very good, very easy, but these instructions are all estimates. It's a late night thing. Yummy, but don't burn yourself. I save some plain popcorn out for the dog, of course.

I know you;ve already gotten a million great answers, some I might try too!! Sometimes I sprinkle taco seasoning on the popcorn and sometimes I use the dry Uncle Dan's Ranch Dressing. One time my kids, years ago, thought of cinnamon/sugar!!

I like to add a little garlic powder and grated Parmesan cheese to it once it's done.

Definitely pop kernels in veg oil in a pot on the stove. Try making kettle corn... a little sweet and a little salty:

Pour enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of a heavy saucepan. Add one or two kernels and put lid on. When tester kernels have popped, remove lid and add enough kernels to cover the bottom of pan in a single layer. Add 2 -3 teaspoons of sugar (Splenda works too) and stir in. (You can experiment with the amount of sugar to get it as sweet as you like it but the sugar must be stirred into the oil.) Cover with lid and shake the lid while the kernels pop. When done, pour popcorn into a large bowl and add salt. Tastes very similar to the kettle corn sold at fairs.
