How do I preserve raspberries? Any suggestions.?!

Question:

How do I preserve raspberries? Any suggestions.?

Well, I don't know how to preserve real raspberries... they spoil to quickly. I was thinking about getting a ziplock bag adding lemon juice, and just put it in the fridge. but I don't know if that would help.

Any other suggestions?

Answers:
freeze them...either in a bag or spread fresh berries on a cookie sheet and freeze, when they are frozen put them in a bag..that way they don't freeze in one lump

Put in into a bag and then out it into your freezer.

Best way to keep is to freeze them. You place berries in a Ziploc freezer bag and add sugar to help preserve the berries.
Usually for a 2 quart bag you'll want to use at least a 1/4 cup of granulated sugar.

lay them on a cookie sheet in a single on some wax paper and put it in the freezer, they'll freeze individually then you can put them all in a zip lock or vacuum seal bag. Be aware thewy may be a big mushy when you thaw them.
Lemon juice will break down the berrys and you'll end up with mush. Also don't wash them until you want to eat them or they'll mold. don't store them in plastic unless they're frozen
Lastly you can try making a freezer jam, its really easy. Get a box of pectin, theres instructions on the back and you can even use plastic gladware containers for the "jam"

check out this website. im pretty sure its not preserving raspberries in the manner that you are asking but its how i do.

otherwise ask your mom or grandmother or aunt or someone that still puts fruits up for the winter. one may have a cookbook on preserving or the library will have some.

Yes. Freezing is the best way. You could also make jam.

freeze them

When I was young my grandmother used to can them. That was the best.
