How long to baked potatoes take...?!

Question:

How long to baked potatoes take...?

Answers:
20 minutes in the microwave, an hour covered in foil in the oven

ages!you need to cook them in the oven for about 2-3 hours.

It depends on the size of the potatoes. I usually take about an hour.

Fan oven, about 1 hour. Microwave about 10 mins. Try doing them in the microwave for 8 mins, then putting them in the oven for 20 mins to get crispy.

Ages when parboiling then roasting.

Prick all over and place in a sealed tupperware bowl and they take 6-10 mins in a microwave.

aprox 2-3 hours depending on size.

try this recipe

depending on the size, at 400 degrees in an oven, an hour. they are better like that than in a microwave, the skin gets crispy! and make sure to poke them with a fork!

in the oven at 350 degrees about an hour to and hour and a half or if you prefer to use a microwave 5 to 6 minutes. Of course you may have to adjust the cooking time for the size of the potato. The larger the potato the longer the cooking time.

I agree with cheesenbanana, they also turn out nice and fluffy without the skin going black and too hard. YUM

parboil for about 10mins, drain and return to pan, shake potatoes about in pan (Jamie Oliver calls this chuffing) place into baking tray with roast, give a light drizzle of oil if required and back in oven for 45-mins to 1hr. Will come up Golden brown and crunchy

It depends on what you are cooking them in. My microwave takes about 12 minutes, my fan assisted oven at top heat takes 30 mins.

Here is a old-timey method to cooking baked potatoes that ARE done, but don't require an all night to cook. Go to your local hardware store are purchase four to six 6" roofing nails, or any other thick nail at least 6" long. Go home and wash them WELL with hot soapy water, rinse them, dunk them for three minutes in boiling water, and then, when you need them insert one nail through the center of each potato, length-wise, and cook at 425 for 40 minutes. They should be perfectly cooked. Let them cool for a couple minutes and then with an oven mitt in/on each hand, grasp the potato, pull out the nail, and VOILA!

For two potatoes I allow 12 minutes on full power in the M'wave then shove them in the oven, highest heat possible for another ten or so. Perfectly yummmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyy.

put them in with the joint & apart from tasting better, it wont take as long to cook.

In the oven they take about an hour to an hour and a half. If your wanting them quick then about 10mins in the microwave!

in the oven 1 hour

Depending on size.........wrapped in foil.........1 hour at 375

Depends on how many. For 4-5 I go 450F for an hour. For more, like 30, it's 500F for 1.5 hours.

aprox. 10 mintues at high .

a nice big spud will take just over an hour in a fan oven...prick all over with a fork and rub with a little oil...then bake! microwave is a lot quicker but the skin goes soggy...and its kinda not the same is it..a microwaved potatoe is not a baked one. oven temp 200 centigrade....

they take ten Min's in the microwave five Min's each side and Pierce them and put them in kitten towel and they don't get burnt

About 48 days if you don't turn the oven on!

it depends on how big your potatoes are.. for small about 30 minutes, medium about 45-50 minutes, and larger 50 -60 minutes if baking in oven at 350-400 degress.. if on grill then about an hour and half..
