that is a big debate question several places claim to be the home of the hamburger. NY, ST Louis worlds fair or even Seymour WI. The earliest is in NY howver it was served on a plate not as a sandwich. being from MN I have a tendicy to lean towards the WI guy. Any way you look at it, all of them revolutionized the way american eat today. Where would most of the fast food places be if they didn't have burgers?
