If I put my bread in the refrigerator will it last longer?!

Question:

If I put my bread in the refrigerator will it last longer?

It gets hot in my apt. so bread goes stale quick.

Answers:
If you put it in the fridge it is less likely to get mold from the humid apt. I had this problem before I had my daughter, but she loves bread so I don't really have to worry much anymore. I still keep it in the fridge though because of habit for one and because it keeps its nice taste longer that way.

yes,i always keep mine in the fridge.why not freeze some as well?.you can pull off what you need,as and when

no it won't, but if you freeze it and defrost it when you are ready to use it the bread would last longer.

yes it will last twice as long the humidity from summer makes your bread mold so the colder the better.

Yes, it's less likely to begin molding and it tastes fresher too.

putting it in the refrigerator will help keep mold away. freezing some is good too - then when you want it, you just defrost and toast.

It certainly stay longer. I live in a tiny apt with no air conditioning. My bread goes bad really quick. Better yet, put it in the freezer. This works for bagels, english muffins, bread, brownies, etc.
