How can i defrost chicken quickly?!

How can i defrost chicken quickly?

sorry i don't have much experience of this!! I don't want to use the microwave defroster as it tends to cook it slightly

dump the chicken outside, in this weather it would defrost in no time!!

or

soak in the bath tub or shower with boiling hot water

or

stick it in the boiler cupboard

or

put it on top of the radiator and turn the heating onto max

or

get a huge chicken suit and sit on the chicken as a chicken would sit on its eggs

or

get the blow torch out

or

you can huddle up to it on the sofa while watching TV, this has two good points keeps u cool n defrost the chicken.

if its breasts or legs and u will be cooking it straight afterwards , cover it in boiling water and leave for like 30 Min's then prepare it ready to cook

leave it out for an hour or sit it in a bowl of cold water

Put it in the sink and run hot water over it for 20minutes

Try putting it in a bowl of clean fresh cold water.

You can't safely. Even if you put it in hot water there is a risk of some inner parts remaining frozen and not cooking properly and giving a risk of food poisoning.If the chicken was meant for today, have anther think about what to have for dinner today and have the chicken tomorrow.n

Get it out of the freezer and put it in cold water.

other than the microwave, the safest way is to run cold water over it. Luke warm will be a little quicker. It also depends on how your going to cook it. If your going to grill it. You want the microwave to cook it a little bit.

Sorry, but the only safe way to do it is in the microwave. Keep stopping and starting it to avoid cooking. It takes a bit of time but at least the chicken will be safe to eat.

To defrost chicken safely you need to let it thaw slowly in the fridge, it can take up to 48 hours, DO NOT as someone has suggested put it outside in the heat, that is just asking for trouble. And don't put it in water either.

You haven,t many options as to how to defrost a chicken and be safe.If your microwave oven is cooking it a bit,turn it down a notch and defrost it for a longer time.

i don;t recommend you try and do it any quicker than naturally defrosting it in your fridge.
You run the risk of leaving tiny ice particles in the meat. this in turn will mean the meat wont cook properly ..then resulting to salmonella or even e-coli. You don;t want either of these. Just defrost the average sized chicken in the fridge for 24 hours.

It is dangerous to thaw frozen food in hot or warm water as it provides a conducive atmosphere for germs to grow or flourish if they are around already.As you know already,the defrost setting on the microwave cooks it slightly at the wrong temperature so it is unsafe as well.The proper way is to get it out of the freezer several hours before you need to cook it.Depending on its size you might need up to 12 hours in which case you should place it in the fridge from the day before and letting it thaw at its own pace.

either use your defrost cycle in your microwave. or place hte chicken in a bowl and allow cold water to pour over it till its thawed .
