Here's what you can try....

PUPPY CHOW FOR KIDS[Modified by me]

1 box Crispix cereal
1 c. creamy peanut butter
1 stick butter
1 (12 oz.) of peanut butter chips or white chocolate chips*
Powdered sugar

Melt peanut butter, butter, and melting chips together. Pour mixture over Crispix that have been evenly poured out in a 13x9 baking pan. Toss gently until all Crispix are covered with mixture. (It looks awful at this point.)

Pour generous amount of powdered sugar in large brown supermarket bag. Carefully pour gooey Crispix mixture into bag. Close bag tightly and shake. Let powdered sugar settle down a minute before opening bag. Serve in a large doggie dish.

*You have to have some kind of something to melt to stick the crispix together with the other ingredients. White chocolate is not chocolate even though it has chocolate in its name. Reason why is that there is no actual cocoa in it.

Good luck. I hope this works for you. :)

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup peanut butter
9 cups Corn Chex or Rice Chex
4 cups powdered sugar

In a large sauce pan, melt together butter, and peanut butter.
Stir until all is evenly distributed and all is completely melted.
Measure out chex into a large bowl.
Put powdered sugar into large paper bag.
Put chex into the bag with the sugar and shake until all chex are covered.
Add more sugar as needed.
hope that helps =)

You could substitute butterscotch or cherry chips for the chocolate in the traditional recipe.
