How long do eggs last past their expiration date?!

Question:

How long do eggs last past their expiration date?

Answers:
Put the suspicious egg in a glass of water.

If it sits flat on the bottom, it's fresh.

The more the end tips upward, the less fresh it is. If it floats, take it quietly out of the house and put it in the trash before it explodes.

Strongle suggesst that any dairy product (especially eggs) are not used after their expiration date - it can lead to e coli or some other serious stomach ailment

They'll last as long as you can stomach them! *laughter*

if they were frozen the week or a day or so before the expiration date i'd say no more then 2 weeks maybe 30 days it depends on if freezerburn has set in or not ruining not only the taste but it may cause health issues and complications for folks recieving food donations who are either poor or elderly

If you are planning on having eggs on the menu - when the chick starts breaking out of the egg, you know the egg is officially expired. Change the menu to roast chicken.

2-3 weeks. Eggs normally have a four week recommendation on the when they are packed and I have had them longer.
Often it is cheaper for me to buy a tray of 30 than 2 of the dozen packages.
