It's the best way to eat peanut butter and jelly (or better yet Fluff!!)....it's pretty messy otherwise.
I bake it before dawn every morning, three or four loaves. One loaf is just for me. As soon as it's cooled down just a bit, I break the whole thing in half and bury my face in it. Oh, my gosh, it's wonderful . . .the aroma, the heat, the perfect texture. Then, I dig the bread out of the crust with my fingers and nibble on it while standing on my deck over an ocean bay and watch all the shore birds awaken. They get the crust.

I like the dark whole grain German bread which is so hard to find in the U.S. It has lots of fiber and tastes great.
