expiration date are an average,

it depends on what it is on how much longer past that date that it is actually good,

it also depends on if you have stored it in the freezer, or the fridge,

if its can foods they stay good for a long time after the date,

if its bread the longer you keep it the more dried out or moldy it becomes depending on the moisture in the air,

and milk & meat & eggs & cheese - type products depends on how cold your fridge is,

but to be safe on all products use them within about 3 days after the expiration date ; unless its been frozen then up to 3 months, like i said it depends on what it is,

the 10 th , however some products like milk and yogurt are good for 3 days later

June 11.

Depending upon what it is, if it is handled properly, well wrapped it can last far longer.
In the case of meat it will stay good for up to a week in the fridge, and months in the freezer.

When it hits the date.....stores have to get rid of it. And that was so cool. I used to hit the dumpster of one grocery store. Milk, cream, half and half. All good yet. They filled a dumpster full of Pop Tarts I grabbed about 100 cases and gave out to everyone. took them to shelters. And I got sick of them. Then theres the Top Ramen I got 50 cases of. But, alas, the store now has a compactor, just for people like me, who don't buy it in the store, but get it from the trash. I don't purchase from that store anyway. I go to Super Walmart.

they mean the 10th, but you can keep it a couple days longer in a vey cold refrigerator. Bread gets stale fast though. Different things can last longer
