Answers:
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound butter
1 pound sugar
nuts
PREPARATION:
Melt butter. Add sugar and cook until the mixture turns to light brown. It will turn yellow first. Be patient. When it gets to the hard crack stage [300° to 310°], pour into a buttered pan. Add walnuts, or any nuts. Butter waxed paper and place on cookie sheets. Pour mixture onto the waxed paper and let harden and then crack into pieces.

there u go now you can even make it yourself

you should watch "Unwrapped" it shows how alot of that stuff is made. i even saw toffee being made a while ago

Me and my cousin were trying to make carmel and we discovered how to make toffee instead. You melt a stick of butter with 2 cups of sugar and then as soon as all of it has melted pour it onto a plate that has wax paper over it so it doesn't stick. Refrigerate it for the amount of time that makes it the right temperature.
