Well, technically, Coca Cola wasn't actually "bottled" until 1899. From 1886 til 1899 it was sold solely as a fountain drink. A presentation at the University of Heidelberg used figures that ran along the lines of 1886=9 glasses per day sold, 1899=100 million glasses /day sold.
