Which kind of bran is best for muffins?!

Question:

Which kind of bran is best for muffins?

Can I use the store brand raisin bran or do I need to stick with Kellogg's?

Answers:
Just don't buy any bran imported from China.

You can definitely use store brand.I have and it's fine

Gardinia.

I am a former chef from Canada and a diabetic, I make a morning muffin for my breaky, I like to use whole bran or bran germ, but any bran cereal is fine, "all bran" is nice also ( soak it in milk or water to soften), but just watch the amount you use, to must and you could be spending the better porition of your day in the old WC.

I would limit your eating more than 2 a day, I add raisins, chopped nut, dried apricots and a cereal we have here called Red River, my fathers fav when he was a lad, it is a mix of flax, bran, oatbran and millet, it to should be used sparingly.

To much is not good and it can be hard on your stomach also, hard to digest, as apose to the other issues.
