How do cake bakers make two different flavos in a sheet pan?

i'm making a cake for a co worker she wants it in two flavors


Answers:
either swirl them together (marble) or make 2 half-sheets and layer them.

Just alternate pouring the mix into the pan. As the poster before said, half and half, or swirl. Or any combination you want to pour in, dots, whatever.

They make the cake mix and halve it. Mix the other flavor, pour one in and then the other. Don't shake the sheet pan, place it in the oven and bake. Its the same principle as the bundt cake with the filling with chocolate, nuts and cinnamon. The consistency is different and the two don't combine.

Usually people geta 1/2 sheet or full sheet cake with 2 different flavors. To do a full sheet with have white and half chocolate. You would bake a 1/2 sheet in chocolate (in a 1/2 sheet pan) and then a 1/2 sheet in white (in a 1/2 sheet pan). Once then are done and cooled you set them side by side on the cake board and ice them. No one will ever know they were once two cakes.

If you wanted to do this to make a 1/2 sheet cake. You would just make the chocolate and white in two 1/4 sheet pans.
