Should flaxseed meals be refrigerated after it's opened?

How long can I keep it unrefrigerated and is it a big deal to not refrigerate it?

You have to keep flax in the fridge and yes oil left out ( if it us used oil) will make you very sick. Throw it out. If I have oil that I want to keep after using I just let it cool and put it in the freezer for future use.

I keep mine fresh in the frig in a zip loc......usually it is used up in less than 6 months.

It'll go bad very quickly if it's left out, I keep mine in a ziploc in the fridge. It lasts much longer and stays fresh.
