About 40 gallons a week. All restaurants have grease traps outside and they dispose the grease there. Then a truck comes and empty's the trap. Then they dispose it safely.

I used to open new restaurants for a large seafood chain.

WAY too much judging by the size of most folks' keesters.

It depends on the kind of restaurant and the size as too how much.

We just put it in a bucket, sealed it and threw it out.

they use several gallons it usualy goes in a under ground tank which is pumped out some of it being used ti replace diesel gas it has to be prosessed

I have no idea...wouldn't it depend on how much food the costumers buy cause they have to sell the food containing vegetable or cooking oil or something? Maybe you should ask the one of the Managers of Applebees or something

The amount of oil that a restaurant uses in a week will depend on the type of food they are serving. The big consumers are fast food places that serve a lot of french fries. Only a few places have serious recycling for used cooking oil most of it ends up in the landfill. So, if you are looking for a ground floor business opportunity this could be it.

Around here, the oil is collected in turned into bio-diesel fuel. It is used to run diesel automobiles and trucks that are modified to use it.
