What's the deal with Indian food?!

Question:

What's the deal with Indian food?

I went with a friend to an Indian restaurant to experiment new food. I came out on the newspaper, it's the only one in this area. I for the noon lunch buffet day, and tried everything. The chicken curry was good, but didn't taste exotic. I loved something called Samosa which is fried something. Began Bartha which is roasted eggplant with a lot of peas tastes good, but it doesn't taste that well by itself. For dessert, I loved the Gulab Jamun, but I have no idea what it is.
But that was it! Everything else had a very strong taste, very very seasoned. I guess I can go back, and order an order of the stuff I liked some day, but I'm not sure.

I never burp, I don't even know how to burp. Gas keep coming out of my mouth all day long. And I kept farting all day farts with a smell I've never smelled before.

I did find some things I liked, but I don't know if the burps and farts are worth it.

Any opinions?

Answers:
Well, naturally, Indian food does have lots of crry and other exotic spices.

Since you're obviously not a big burper or farter, I suppose you usually don't eat gas-triggering foods. Eggplant is a known causer of gas. Curry can cause some gas.

I suppose you can get used to it if you eat Indian food more often.

I believe Indian food is supposed to be hot and spicy.

Take some tums and go nuts

id give it a second chance it is loaded with stuff that is beneficial to your health.

Indian food is fantastic, all you have to do is have a variety of dishes. That way you will have a proper meal.

Try rice, dahl (lentils) a meat dish, fish or prawns, eggs, and a vegetable dish. Eat this with a chutney, mango is popular, and a poppadum or two.

As an alternative you could try cooking your own curry. Vistit my cookbooks on Recipezaar.com. Look up sweet and sour curried chicken and go on from there.

Curry does not have to burn your mouth or your backside, lentils will assist in the gas area as will the onions and garlic used in curries. The vegetable are full of fiber and good for you.
Many of the spices are beneficial to good health, some are used as medicines in Asia where people can't afford Western drugs when they get ill.
