Couscous anyone?!

Question:

Couscous anyone?

is whole wheat couscous healthy? better for you than rice?

Answers:
Well, both are good and nutritious as long as the word whole comes from the name first. And besides, if you use brown or long grain basmati rice- that's better than the ordinary and refined white rice.

Both of the grains give you same and different nutrients so it is best to vary your grains everyday. For example, a day of rice, a day for couscous, a day for quinoa, a day for millet, etc. Not only it will vary your diet but you will benefit from the different nutrients that each type of grain offer. But of course, you must watch the portion size of each serving. Ideally, an adult should aim 15g of fibre or more everyday. I'm not sure exactly how many grams of fibre.

I hope this helps.
