Answers:
its good if you live on your own cause its really cheap and the stuff dont taste that bad really so a weeks shopping wont cost the earth

good payers, good food

The lidl shop is only for lidl people I'm afraid, and they wont let me in.

I like it, but can never do a whole shop there. Tinned food is great and good quality.

There are some really good bargains in Llydl, and some stuff that you cant get in British supermarkets as it is A German store. I use my local Lydls quite a bit and I have no complaints.

Hi its a good shop my mom and dad usually go there to buy food as it is cheap and they have nice stuff there.

let me think

crap cos i work there lol some of the stuff is ok eg chocolate and booze.
customers do my head in have you not got better things to do on a Saturday morning at 8 am rather then coming to lidls and buying some apple pies ahhhhhhhhhhhh when i got better thing to do.

I wouldn't do my weekly shop there, but I like some of the specialist foods you can't get anywhere else.

Don't like it....I'm freaked out at just how cheap everything is and how big the store is...the local one is one my high street and it's always busy and they've packed too many goods into it...I once bought some burgers, chips and mayonnaise from them though....rather good.

(Only downside I have with them is that they don't give you free bags but hey they're just cheapskates ;-)

I think it is ok. They do really nice fruit juice in there and a lovely cornish pastie!

It's surprisingly interesting! I wouldn't do a regular shop there, as you can't guarantee what stock they're going to have; however, they're great for cheap single-origin chocolate, which is great for cooking with, and lots of meats, sausages and cheeses. What there is is reasonably priced (certainly cheaper than other supermarkets), but the fact that you can't rely on the same thing being in stock from week to week brings down its value to me as a shopper.

Lidl first entered the UK market as a cheap low cost food store, very much along the line of stack them high, sell them low.
In the recent years they have moved up with there store presentation offering a better purchasing experience. The one problem that they currently have is that they still have the low cost/low quality image.

i like it, i shop there when money is really tight, the tinned stuff is grate value, also things like the lemonade, pasta sauces etc is good, even the fridge stuff is fine, although i do find some of the salad stuff isn't too grate sometimes. the bad bit is that if i do a list of things i need i can never do the whole shop in there, also you have to like sort out your shopping into bags after you've paid, so you end up spending ages sorting out all your shopping and sometimes it gets a little to squashed.

you can get some other grate bargains like the stereos and things as well.

on the whole it is a grate store, and the food is grate value

Can't do a full shop there but great prices on fruit and vegies.Offers not always available but on the whole good place to shop

We like Lidl - in a Town about 3 miles away.
Shop there for the "junk" bargains - I like the way that range changes each week.
Their veges aren't as Fresh as our local Morrisons and Sainsbury store, but a real bargain when they are on a half-price spree.
Have you tried the new part-baked jacket potatoes - great on a boat where power is short. Can't complain at their beers and spirits, the all-day breakfast a real bargain, but the cats don't rate their cat food!
Good cheese range; the herring and chilled salmon packs, some of the best frozen (chunky frying) chips we've found, frozen food generally very good. Expresso coffee is great.
We shop there for many basics and also go to our own Town Aldi for some foods which are a little more up-market - also the cats like Aldi sachets!

I go in there sometimes, i would'nt do all my shopping in there, most of their food packaging is in foreign writing so i dont usually buy it.

Always get my booze from Lidl in France.
They do great bargains just kitted my self out with a new wetsuit for 19.99. I know you get what you pay for.
There selection of olives, gherkins, pickled chillies & much more are far far cheaper than the major supermarkets here.
Ran out of white wine the other week was passing Lidl nipped in & to my surprise the wine I choose was bl....y great would have paid a lot mor for it than in JS.
