It is in Morgan City, Louisiana. I live about 1/2 hour away in Houma. It is a festival that celebrates two industries that help southern Louisianaians to prosper - the shrimp industry and the oil industry. It is a big fair, they have every kind of shrimp dish, fried shrimp, barbqued shrimp, shrimp po-boys, shrimp etouffee, shrimp, shrimp, shrimp. Plus, they have every other kind of food you could want. They have arts & crafts, alot of homemade quilts, food, carved products and they have oil field related companies who contribute to this event also. They have bands that play all day and night and they have rides for the kids. It is a wonderful event. Come down here and try it, you'll like it!!
