How do I bake tender boneless chicken breast and steaks?!

Question:

How do I bake tender boneless chicken breast and steaks?

I usually season them and put them in the oven. I put a bit of butter and water in the bottom lined with foi. I could not get them tender. Please help with a recipe.

Answers:
Season them to you liking and wrap them in foil completely wrapped this keeps the heat inside which makes them really tender. Check out "food networks" cooking ideas for chicken , Really good stuff.

I put foil at the bottom of the pan. Then I put a little bit of Pam on the foil to prevent the sticking. I season the meat with season salt and meat tenderizer. The meat tenderizer really makes the meat tender. Then I cover with foil..

Or sear it well on the stovetop and then transfer to the oven at 450 to 500 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes, depending on the size of the breasts. For steaks, the broiler is the best bet for tenderness, 4 minutes on a side for rare, six for medium, and 8 for well done. Always leave the over door cracked and watch it very carefully!

Before you bake the chicken breast marinate them in some orange juice, salt pepper whatever other spices you may like....for about 1 hour but as much as overnight. The chicken will not taste orange like. If you cook them covered in some OJ about 1/4 to 1/2 cup depending on the amount of chicken, they will have some flavor of orange but hardly strong just delicious.....but you can use broth or water or a sauce you like at 350 for about 90 mins, which is long for most, but my chicken is tender.

Steak marinate them in balsamic vinegar, or maybe lime and your favorite spices...salt and pepper is fine, and olive oil for at least 2 hours but as much as overnight, remove from marinade. place in a pan, I don't use water but maybe u can us chicken broth or water if u must but just a little 1/4 cup max cause it will produce juices. cover with foil bake 350 at least again 90 mins uncover like the last 20 or 30 mins to evaporate some juice if you like and add some color.

Try this and let me know if you like it or not you can email me through my profile....good luck

Putting water in the bottom only makes them boil and tough. I would put them on the b-bque. Heat the entire b-bque until really hot then turn down to low and cook on each side for about 8-10 minutes. It makes them so juicy and tender. If you have a George Foreman it makes chicken delicious.

Use meat tenderizer available in the grocery store

A method called "pan searing" is the best way to get tender meat.

Put 3 tablespoons of oil in a skillet and heat the pan to medium high.

Sear the meat in the hot oil for 3-4 minutes, or until the cooked part appears "paper bag brown". Then turn the meat and do the same thing on the other side.

You can then cook thinner cuts of meat the rest of the way in the same pan (but lower the heat). Finish thicker cuts or breasts in the oven.

Chicken is done when it reaches 165 degrees, which you can check with a meat thermometer. For more detailed instructions, and the cooking times for rare, medium, etc. meat, see http://www.wegmans.com/greatmeals/cookin...
