Cream Cheese Jalapeno Burgers

INGREDIENTS
2 cups seeded and chopped jalapeno pepper
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
2 pounds ground beef
8 hamburger buns, split
DIRECTIONS
Preheat a grill for medium heat. When hot, lightly oil the grate. In a medium bowl, stir together the jalapenos and cream cheese.
Divide the ground beef into 16 portions and pat out each one to 1/4 inch thickness. Spoon some of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of 8 of the patties. Top with the remaining patties, pressing the edges together to seal.
Grill for about 10 minutes per side, or until well done, taking care not to press down on the burgers as they cook. This will make the cheese ooze out. Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.

Depends whether you want sweet or savoury ... savoury you can mix it into a cooked jacket potato, bang it back in the oven to melt and have it with some other topping, stuffing whole jalapheno peppers or some other large pepper is nice .. again bang it under the grill and possibly sprinkle with a bit more melty cheese like a strong cheddar. For sweet it has to be cheesecake ... mix the philly with a bit of icing sugar to taste to make the topping to go on a biscuit base ...

QUICK & EASY IDEAS
You can take the block of Philly cheese leave it at room temp to soften a bit, place it on a pretty plate and pour chunky salsa over the top-serve with crackers..yummy. or its wonderful with jalapeno jelly instead of salsa. You can use both of these ideas and spread on individual crackers on a tray for a more formal finger food idea. Also, if you look inside the Philly cheese box there is always two recipes; the no bake cream cheese is really good.

I have a cool summer recipe that is just great to snack on. I take the cream cheese and mix it with marshmallow fluff (the marshmallow stuff in the jar, i just call it that). Mix until the there are no lumps (oh, make sure the cream cheese is at room temp). I cut up all kinds of fruit and dip them in it. It is wonderful with strawberries and any kind of fruit.
