Question:

Are there and kinds of eggs tht are not safe to eat in the canadian wilderness ?

I am doing a school project on wilderness survival and i was wondering if there are any kinds of eggs that are not safe to eat how can you tell what kind of aminal an egg came from?

Answers:
all eggs have different characteristics making them fairly easy to identify, also the habitat and type of nest are good clues, often you will find feathers in or near the nest of a bird, turtle eggs are supposed to be really good, but i have never eaten one. most eggs you find in the wild, unless freshly laid, will be fertilized and thus not good to eat. we used to keep chickens and ducks, duck eggs taste a little odd, but aren't bad
