What is a good filling breakfast but low in calories?!

Question:

What is a good filling breakfast but low in calories?

Answers:
Eat eggs toast with a meat or protein and banana or other starch. It's ok to eat more calories in the morning and afternoon. You are way more active during those times. I never save calories on breakfast. I eat huge breakfasts and by the time i get to work i'm ready for a snack, haha. It's late night eating you should curb and pick your snacks better so you don't eat junk.

Porridge and milk

apples, fruit, cottage cheese

A bowl of oatmeal or whole grain cereal has the fiber to keep you fuller longer. Add a splash of milk and Splenda to your oatmeal or cereal if you want it sweet.

Bananas and grapes are filling.

Don't be afraid of bread, whole grain or wheat has lots of fiber and is filling.

Real Oatmeal. Not the instant kind. Is is filling, good for you and low in calories.

oatmeal and low calorie carnation instant breakfast

Oatmeal, special k bars, toast and a grapefruit, coffee.

Fruit. Yogurt.

Frosted shredded wheat with skim milk, low in fat and calories, but gives you the fiber and vitamins you need. Keeps you filled up for hours!

cheerios my fave

hot cereals, oatmeal

lots of fruits like watermelon and bananas. Even if you eat a lot of fruits, it is always good for your health and reduces the risk of cancer.

porridge/oatmeal with sliced banana, and milk. oatmeal burns off slowly, giving you energy for several hours

i read somewhere recently that if you eat an egg for breakfast you end up eating 300 less calories a day! dont know if that helps there is always porridge oats & milk

100% rolled oats are always a good choice. 1 bowl of oatmeal totals 150 calories, made with water. If you choose to use milk, opt for skim or 2%. This is should keep total calories low.

Oatmeal is high in soluble fiber, so it keeps you feeling full longer.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal or an egg white omelet, or yogurt with some shredded apple and Fiber One stirred in.

Eating food slowly and less in calories tokeep u fit .It sounds good isn't it!

Try the Thomas brand multi-grain english muffins, which have only 100 calories, top that with some peanut butter which is filling, and has the good fat your body needs. If you like coffee, use splenda, but stay away from juice, bc of the sugar content. I also enjoy the eggo brand multi-grain waffles in cinnamon and blueberry, which have only 80 or so calories each with some steel-cut outmeal high in fiber, sweetend with splenda and some butter. Add in some kind of fruit, but the best are going to be in the berry category.

Always include both fiber and protein in a meal. I find the best/most filling breakfast to be one scrambled egg and one bowl of stove-cooked whole-grain hot cereal. Trader Joe's sells a great one.

fruits (as much as you can eat) and a nice cup of kona/french roast coffee w/honey.you get energy and no fat and a little calory.

My sister was seeing a personal trainer and she gave her this recipe, I love it and make it the night before for a small but very filling breakfast.

1/2 cup plain oatmeal (the quick oats kind)
a little less than 1/2 cup skim milk
frozen fruit (berries are best)
sprinkle with cinnamon
add walnuts or almond slivers

Put it in a tupperware and let it sit overnight. I eat it cold but you could warm it up if you want, just might need a little more milk.

6 oz low fat vanilla yogurt, 1/5 Kashi Go Lean Crunch & strawberries - about 225 calories, good fiber and will stick with you all day!

Eggbeaters scrambled with jalapenos on top of toasted light bread. Plenty of protein, a little spice and it sticks when combined with the carbs.

Saute up some spinach, green beans and bell pepper before adding the eggbeaters to get some veggies in the morning.

Three egg white omelet with onion, green pepper, chopped tomatoes, mushrooms if you like, with a slice of whole wheat multigrain toast, a cup of lowfat yogurt with sliced banana or strawbverries, add a glass of skim or soy milk. All the calories and fat are in the egg yolks.

If you eat an egg, studies show that you eat up to 267 calories less per day, and the protein helps keep you filled. also eat light yogurt (i prefer light and fit, it has only 60 calories for 6 ounces of yogurt) or oatmeal.

Kashi makes an instant oatmeal that is very good, have one envelope of that (cooked, obviously) with two slices of canadian bacon. This way you're getting your fiber and your protien and very little fat or calories.

I usually eat 2 egg beaters and a bowl of frozen grapes. It sounds odd, but that keeps me full until lunch.

BREAKFAST BURRITO

1 med. onion, diced
1 med. bell pepper, diced
1 tomato, diced
1 tbsp. garlic, minced
1/2 tsp Greek seasoning
4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese (use low fat)
4 eggs or three egg whites and one yolk
8 10" flour tortillas

Sauté all ingredients except eggs and cheese on medium high heat for 10 minutes. Add eggs; cook until eggs are done. Wrap in flour tortillas and add cheese.
Fold and top with picante sauce.

Make these up ahead of time and freeze. Just heat in micro when you are ready to eat one. This makes eight, enough for a week and two on Sunday. : )
