Question:

Whats the procedure to make French Fries at home ?

Answers:
Peel the potato, trim it so that one side can be placed on the cutting board and be stable. Slice potato lengthwise into planks, then slice the planks in to strips. Put in fryer, cook for a few minutes, remove and drain, raise heat on oil, then fry again til golden brown, drain, salt, serve.

You take a potato and cut it up into thick pieces (the long shape of french fries) and cook them in oil until brown or cooked enough on the inside. You can also just put them in the oven. My dad used to cook these all the time and they are so good!!!
Hope I helped!

peel, slice, put in water for 15 minutes, drain, freeze, then when fries are frozen, cook in a deep vat of hot cooking oil until golden brown.Dont forget to check if you have salt and ketchup before cooking frenchfries. Happy Cooking!

use a french fry cutter (available in most super stores) or buy frozen french fries (available again in most super stores).

When oil is really hot put these . add salt when hot..

FRENCH FRIES

Ingredients

3 large baking potatoes, like russets, about 2 pounds, peeled and cut into matchstick slices 1/4-inch thick
Canola oil, fry frying
Salt

Place the potato slices in a bowl of water. Let stand 15 minutes. Drain, rinse under cold water, and drain again. Pat dry with towels.

Heat enough oil to come 4 inches up the sides of a large deep saucepan to 350 degrees F. Add the potatoes in batches and cook until golden brown, about 4 minutes. Remove from the pan with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt and serve hot

I've always heard that the key is double-frying at 2 different temps. Fry the first batch at about 350. Remove and drain. Then repeat at 375. They rival restaurant fries and are much better!

They can be made with frozen or fresh potatoes. Using fresh potatoes, peal (or you can scrub them and keep the skins on) then cut them up into slices. Its best if you have a deep fryer because it controls the heat better. If not, place oil (peanut works great) in a deep sauce pan and heat on the stove. Take care not to over heat the oil.(medium to medium high)
After oil is heated place potatoes in hot oil. (if potatoes are wet oil will splatter) Cook till golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on dry paper towel. Season to taste.

Depends on if you want skin or not wash the potatoes then cut in half then cut in strips rinse, cook and eat.

umm.. get in your car and drive to the nearest McDs. problem solvd!

*Go to google and type ...... receipes, french fries .
U will get a no. of sites displaying the recipe!!!!!

Peel large hollandaise potatoes. Cut into long strips of medium thickness (the lesser the thickness of the strips, the crispier the fries are. However, too thin fries may get burnt very easily). Boil in salt water, drain and cool. Heat oil to about medium high temperature in a deep-frying pan, and then turn the flame low (this will ensure that the fries are cooked thoroughly). Deep-fry the french fries till they turn light golden yellow on the exterior or slightly amber at the tips; drain well on kitchen towels. Serve with favourite sauce or dip.
