Use by date?!

Question:

Use by date?

I have a box of muffins that have a Use By date of June 11th? Does this mean its best before June 11th or after June 11th? For example, can I eat the muffins today (June 11th)?

Answers:
If they have a Use By date, then you should do exactly that- use them BY today. So go ahead and make them today, you'll be fine. The box is a suggestion/estimate anyhow. It's not like if you made them tomorrow you'd get ill or anything, it's just you can't use it much after the date. So make them today, and enjoy some nice muffins!

BEST BY june 11th. haha dont worry, youre not going to die. as long as the box was closed, you should be good. or if it was in the refrigerator. today is the last day suggested that it stays fresh. after today, the muffins wont be as fresh, but definetly edible.

If its use by this date then its basically your call.. if it has perishable ingredients in it .. i wouldn't use it .. but if you think its fine its use by date exspires today and i dont think it will hurt you to use it today. :]

Just that they can not be responsible after that date the taste will be the same as as fresh.
The stuff may be just fine a year later (unopened)
