Are Foot and mouth disease and mad cow disease still a concern in Ireland and in the rest of the united kingdom? Does it stil pose a food risk?

You know how dat mad cow desease come about dont you? well at them large chicken farm they has them chickens in condos made of chicken wire,and dem chickens dont see the light of day nor do they ever see the earth, they is fed pure cracked corn and when they crap is falls straight thriugh them cages onto a conveyor belt where it is then transpoted out to a bunch of hay and mixed all together and then fed to them cows,now I wanna ax ye,wouldnt you be nad ifn you was fed dat stuff?. I rest me case amigo. Tue dat.

No, we are now free of both diseases - but please note that Ireland (ie the Republic) is NOT part of the UK, although of course Ulster is.
