My snow crab is too salty, how can I fix this?!

Question:

My snow crab is too salty, how can I fix this?

Last night I hate half the legs off of a snow crab I bought frozen, and they were fairly salty. Is there any way to lessen the salty flavor? (I've had snow crab legs from this place before, and they were fine)

Crab, along with lobster and other crustaceans are naturally salty. In order to get rid of some of this salt you should soak them in water and give them a final rinse before cooking them, of course don't use any table salt or salty dipping sauces.

let the legs soak in cold water for 10 minutes ,,add some lemon juice.... goodluck

I've heard if your boiling something salty, throw a peeled potato in, it will help absorb salt. Havent actually done it, but might be worth a try.
