That's a myth!

But maybe it's because Americans GOURGE instead of eating. The portion sizes at restaurants are 4+ times what they should be, and they're encouraged to start off with oversized appetizers and finished with oversized deserts on top of it!

Chinese food is intentionally designed to be eaten in much smaller portions, with lots of filler like rice and noodles to make up for what's really a small amount of meat and vegetables.

If you have a small stomach and eat normal portions, Chinese food is great and you DON'T feel hungry again right afterwards. If you're feeling hungry afterwards, you need to stop eating at Longhorn and TGI Fridays, or devouring an entire pizza by yourself. (Not saying YOU do that; I'm saying people in general.)

no i guess not

I get hungry after eating chinese food. of course its hours later...

do american ppl get hungry after eating american food?? NO!!!!! so i think the answer is no...i have a japanese in my blood but i never get hungry!!

I'm an American, and I've always experienced the opposite. All that it takes is about a cup of chao mein noodles or chicken and broccoli to make me feel stuffed.

Doesn't happen to me. I don't think it should be a problem as long as everyone eats 'till they're full.
