Question:

Please settle an arguement,is there any beetroot in cherryade?

as a colourant not as a flavour, give me proof

Answers:
Check your bottle: if betanin (aka Beetroot Red) is present (E162) there's a beetroot based dye in the drink, if carmoisine (E122) is present (the more likely of the two in some countries) it's a coaltar derived red dye.

(Neither sound particularly attractive, but that's another story.)

Note: carmoisine is also identified as INS 122 and FDA Ext D&C Red #10
betanin is also identified as INS 162

At present, the FDA status for carmoisine is unapproved (2), so if your cherryade is US manufactured, the likelihood is high that betanin was used.
