What happens if kids drink coffee?!

Question:

What happens if kids drink coffee?

I heard that coffee messes around with a child's nervous system and stops a child from growing or something, is this true??

Answers:
The caffeine has weird effects on kids. Usually it would hype them up, but if they were already hyped like with ADD/ADHD it would have a calming effect. I don't know that I believe the stunted growth theory. Both of my brothers have drank coffee since they learned how to walk and they are both over 6 foot tall now in their 20's

yes, but it isnt the coffee, its the caffine.

Then will burn out by the end of the day. Not a cool after effect. Like a hangover.

NO THAT IS SAID JUST TO HAVE YOU NOT GIVE COFFEE TO KIDS. IT IS NOT GOOD FOR THEM BUT IT WONT MESS THEM UP.

It may mess with the nervous system, but it does not stop growth. I'm 5' 11.5" , had 5' 6" parents, and have consumed coffee for 85% of my life. nm

im 14 and i rarely drink coffee but when i do i would really want to fall right asleep. i guess there are different effects on people towards coffee

Coffee and chocolate are both poisonous. We don't notice it unless we take huge amounts of caffeine or chocolate because we are large.

Chocolate will cause cellular metabolism to speed up in the internal organs such as kidneys and liver. This is why chocolate will kill small dogs.

Caffeine will cause the heart to beat faster and the body's organs to work overtime. It can cause organ damage in large amounts.

The key is "large amounts". A large moccachino is nothing for me but would kill a 2 year old. A 200 mg caffeine pill won't harm a 200 pound guy but can seriously harm a 120 pound girl.

haha no.
its the caffine that makes them bounce off the walls.
