There's so much you can make in a crock pot, that it isn't funny.... well maybe. We have a 5 quart cooker.
For example, one my wife and I do alot is....
5lbs beef
1 cup beans
1 cup rice (added later)
a couple carrots
a white onion
some spices (bay leaves, rosemary, or use Spike, found in the spices section of your local store)
Tapatio (hot sauce...you can skip this if you don't want it)
a pepper (cayenne, or habanero...I like my food spicy)
Anyway. Pretty much anything can be cooked in a crock.

I suggested this to someone else just the other day here :) SUPER easy and absolutely delicious.
2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 jars of your favorite marinara sauce
12-16oz shredded Italian blend cheese
chopped garlic
Put chicken breasts in crockpot, top with garlic, marinara and sprinkle cheese over all. Cook on medium/high for 5-6 hours, do NOT stir, do not lift cover. Sounds too easy, but it has a chicken parmesan/lasagna taste to it!
