What is the average amount of time for homemade cookie dough to expire?!

Question:

What is the average amount of time for homemade cookie dough to expire?

I made cookie dough about 2-3 weeks ago, and I was wondering if it was still okay to bake. I don't want to bake it and then make everyone sick, however, so I want to make sure it's safe.

Answers:
Think about the ingredients you used... when does/did the milk expire, or the eggs? that sould answer your question. Even if they haven't expired yet you might want to think about how close to expiration they are because once broken my guess would be that eggs expire a bit more quickly.
you didn't say anything about how it was stored, my answer is thinking if it was refrigerated, if frozen it's probably ok, if it was left out in a container, throw it away right now!

It is only good for about 3 days so I wouldn't try it.

Cookie dough from 2 or 3 weeks ago I would not use unless it was frozen during that time period. I am by no means a chef but I would assume that prepared cookie dough when refrigerated would have to be used within a week perhaps less...........

throw it out unless it was frozen. the best thing to do when you are making cookie dough is to bake all the cookies and then freeze them and take out a few at a time.
