If you put alcohol in brownies, when you cook them do they become non alcoholic?

i put some white wine in blondies

Alcohol cooks off at about 170oF and your oven is probably set for 350o or higher.

Update: Yes, the alcohol evaporates, but you would generally TELL a client/guest, who is allergic, that a dish has alcohol!

In catering, you are usually informed of specific allergens a client would like to stay away from. If you decide to USE that allergic ingrediant, you are playing with fire, (and your companys reputation!)

In other words, YES alcohol does evaporate. But, do you want to take the chance of poisoning your dining "guest" if they are allergic to alcohol? Now what is your answer?

Some of the alcohol will remain...but why put wine in brownies? I wouldn't think that would taste very good.

Likely, alcohol evaporates at high temperatures. But the flavor stays.

Pretty much all alcohol you cook with that is heated is burned
off, leaving the flavor. Just by pure chemistry, some residue
can remain depending upon type and proof of alcohol and
temperature and length of time at that heat. However, any
left is practically immeasurable as alcohol.
