Cups that make slushies?!

Question:

Cups that make slushies?

I used to have cups that were made with some chemical in the sides. (If you shook the cup, you could see the liquid chemical freeze.) The cups were kept in the freezer so the chemical froze. You would pour your drink in the cup and wait a few minutes. The chemical chilled your drink and made it like a slushie.

Years ago I bought some in Wal-Mart or some equivalent store. I lost them in one of my moves. I now live in Anchorage and can not find them anywhere. I tried looking on line, but I am not sure what they are called and could not find them on line. Does anyone know of a website where I can buy them?

since some people said they don't get it - You put the cup in the freezer so the chemical in the sides freezes. When you pour your drink into the cup, the chemical is so cold that it chills the drink and makes it slushy.

I know exactly what you mean. The mug or cup walls are hollow with a chemical in them that freezes. You take it from the freezer and pour a regular beverage in it. The cold sides start to freeze your drink like a slushie

I know exactly what you are describing and had those myself. I love slushies!! I have not seen them for a long time and am hoping someone comes along with some info for us.

I dont get it...

me either.

Though I couldn't find the product I do have this alternative.

You'll need 1. Gallon ziploc bag with ice and kosher salt.
2. Small bag with kool aid or juice, water and sugar. Squeeze out all the air.
3. Place the small bag inside big one. Shake it around for a few minutes and watch the liquid turn icy.
4. Soon there will be a tasty bag of slushie! Just snip the corner of the small bag and squeeze it into a glass.

Hopefully that can tide you over till you find the cups.

either u can use foam cups that u can put in the trash or u can use dixie cups an u can also put those in the trash an there not that costly

Try Wal Mart or Target online. Also there are some party ware sites that may have them for sale there. Good luck
