If the rest of the world could make tea as well as the Brits do, they'd like it too.

I've had tea in China, India, and England (three places known for their excellent tea), and while all three places had great tea, English tea was simply the best. If I lived in the UK, I don't think I'd drink anything else!

It is partly tradition, but also tea contains more caffeine than coffee. It has more herbs, therefor, more remedies as well. Just think of all the brands out there that "claim" to do soo many things. And lastly, it definitely is a "habit" for a majority of Europeans. They did indeed become addicted to coffee, but on a very large scale to the point that they began to work themselfves to death, Tea soothed them, so that once again 4 o'clock high tea became very civilized and accepted with Upperclass then filtering down.
