Question:

Dinner Ideas?

I need some ideas on what to make for dinner tonight. It is only my boyfriend and I and I am so tired of make all the same things. I want something GOOD, easy and where I do not spend all night in the kitchen. Anyone out there willing to help?

Quick & Easy Barbcue Sandwiches

Brown ground beef. Drain fat. Add favorite bbq sauce and a tbsp of brown sugar or honey if you like it sweet. Serve on hamburger buns or bread. Whatever you have on hand is fine.

Side salad and fries or potato chips

Not elegant but tasty and fast.

Make some pasta. Then heat a jar of alfredo and mix in some artichoke bottoms cut up, some cooked chicken (in pouches or cans near the tuna!), some frozen peas (run under warm water to thaw) and some mushrooms. YUM

Make quesadillas. Just make like grilled cheese. Butter side of tortilla, flop into nonsick skillet, top with grated cheese...optional some chicken....top with another tortialla and heat, flip...serve! Great with salsa or guacamole and sour cream.

For quick and easy I love pasta ... one big plate o'noodles with something like alfredo or fresh tomatoes and basil! Simple and easy...serve with a salad and bread, if you like.
Or broiled chicken or fish, with some lemon juice, black pepper, and garlic...side it with wild or brown rice and a nice green veggie of choice!
Stir fry can be pretty quick, depending on what you have on hand - toss over some rice and serve!
Or just make some loaded omelets and serve with a nice salad and a glass of wine - amazing how nice this is for dinner!
Oh, and when I'm really wanting quick, I toast a split loaf of Italian bread, load it up with sliced tomatoes, red onions, garlic, olive oil, broil again and top with cheese the last minute or so! I have even added ham or prosciutto to it! Yum!
Hope these help a little!

well i made meatloaf and brown rice tonight..... ummm u could put gracy on it.... umm sphaghetti, some steaks and rice and beans/// ummm chicken kabobs on the grill

you should cook some rice...with some fried pork chops!!
it always works out nice!

just make some grilled chicken and make it look fancy, add some wine and candles, maybe some risotto

My favorite dish on a whim is steamed vegetables with Ramen noodles. Sounds too simple but trust me- it takes 10 minutes and tastes GREAT...minimal dishes and people love it.

Get some broccoli, califlower, snow peas, peppers (whatever your fav's are) steam them

Throw away the spice pack with the Ramen noodles and just cook up the noodles.

Take veggies and noodles and toss together with some soy sauce. You can also add chicken/meat, etc to your liking.

I use this idea all the time...quick and easy

Brown 2 lbs ground meat and one onion together......make taco bar with taco shells, cheese, sour cream, jalepenos, tomatoes and lettuce....
desert i do 2 scoops vanilla ice cream.....crumble 2 oreo cookies over it with chocolate syrup, whipped cream and cherry...
ENJOY YOUR NIGHT NOT COOKING ALL NIGHT

This time of year we love to cook on the charcoal grill!

Grab a couple of thick cut rib-eyes @ the grocery, then sprinkle both sides with Montreal Steak Seasoning. Take a couple of bakers & rub all over skins with butter, then sprinkle with salt & seal foil. Place potatoes on grill & cook til tender to touch. Meanwhile, grill steaks over medium coals til done - I like medium/medium rare........serve along with grilled corn on the cob & homemade garlic bread........Mmmmmmm!!

Domino's or Pizza Hut/Inn.

Dredge the chicken in flour and saute in skillet with oil until golden brown on both sides.

Place the prosciutto and asparagus on top of the chicken and cover with mozzarella. Place in oven to warm and melt the cheese.

Meanwhile, saute shallots and mushrooms in melted butter until tender. Warm veloute sauce and add wine.

Of course, if you want something that's really good, and simple, one of our favorites is salsa chicken. It's easy and healthy.
Chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
Your favorite salsa
Shredded cheese (I usually use the Mexican style cheese, but any type works just fine)
Aluminum foil (1 piece per breast, large enough to make a pouch with).

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
Cut foil into small sheets, large enough to fit one breast, and able to fold into a pouch
Lay one chicken breast on each piece of foil
Spoon one or two spoonfuls of your favorite salsa on top of chicken
Form pouches, making sure to seal all edges and leaving enough room inside for steam
Bake on a cookie sheet in oven for about 30 minutes until chicken is done.
To open pouches, carefully unfold or cut into the pouches, making sure to avoid the hot steam. Place chicken on a plate, cover with shredded cheese and some of the hot liquid from the pouch if you want, and serve!

We usually eat this with our favorite veges, sauted in a little bit of olive oil.
