Is frog legs considered a meat, like chicken or beef or pork?!

Question:

Is frog legs considered a meat, like chicken or beef or pork?

A friend of mines do not eat meat but does eat seafood ie shrimps and fish I need to know can I serve them frog legs?

Answers:
Definitely meat!!

It is a meat, like chicken. I wouldnt serve it, it might not go over well

To be honest, I probably wouldn't serve frog legs to anyone. I know that some people love them, but some people wouldn't eat them regardless if they are vegetarian or not. If your friend eats seafood, then maybe you should grill some fish or shrimp.

Frogs legs are meat.

It is actually a Czech dish not French

Frog legs is a type of meat. If you fry it, it taste just like fried chicken. So I wouldn't recommend that you serve that unless you want to lose a good friend lol!

of course it's a type of meat, it comes from an animal.

what if your friend won't eat "frog legs", you should ask your friend first.

Frog legs are meat and they do taste like chicken... but when frying them.. they willl jump so watch em and do not let the hot grease splatter on ya

If it had parents, a vegetarian won't touch it.

It's an animal isnt it!!??!!??

they are considered meat

It's meat.

I wouldn't just surprise your friend by offering up a plate of frog's legs. They may not appreciate the gesture.

It sounds like your friend is not a vegetarian, but may have certain beliefs or chooses certain dietary restrictions. I have a friend who is Hindu and as far as I can tell, she will never eat red meat, but some days she can eat chicken, and then certain other days she can eat fish only (I always have to ask her "can you eat chicken today?" before we order pizza at work!). If your friend only has restrictions against red meat, I don't believe frogs would fall into that category. Other people won't eat animals that bear their young live (have live babies) but will eat animals that have eggs (like chicken or fish) and in this case, frog would be ok since they lay eggs.

SO - basic answer is ask your friend, it might be alright according to what they're allowed to eat but you wouldn't want to just serve it without asking first.
.

Well I don't think any animal is a vegetable....why don't you ask her?

Frog are animals, like chicken, beef, fish and pigs, and vegetarians do not eat them.

If your friend is a meat eater who only eats fish, s/he probably would not be able to eat frogs. It is good that you checked in advance, but you could always ask your friend if you want the most accurate answer.

:)

if you call yourself a vegetarian and eat seafood, you're NOT a vegetarian! your friend is a meat-eater so you might as well feed her/him them frog legs.

Frogs are amphibians, definitely not a fish or a crustacean.

Seafood is also meat. Any animal is a meat.

So your friend shouldn't be eating seafood either.

Any flesh from any animal is meat. Seafood is meat.
