I would think that before we drank milk from the cows, we drank a lot of water and fruit juices. If it never was discovered, I imagine that you would have the best dairy farm in the world and a gallon of milk would cost more than a gallon of gas.
Well, there's goats milk, cocoanut milk, and wine. I've also heard of horse milk. I imagine the price would be high, $9-$15 a gallon? In third world counrties, a lot of teas, and fruit drinks, but water usually is bad. Okay...stay away from bull's milk....lol.

I would think that over the course of years, across the world, people have drank milk from just about any animal that was lactating and could be controlled enough to milk. Its the staff of life for newborn creatures so I'm sure its a wide open answer.
