Is it OK to eat rice and canned corn if it was left out for about 24 hours?!

Question:

Is it OK to eat rice and canned corn if it was left out for about 24 hours?

Just curious if you can. I know you can't do that with meats and other highly perishable stuff.

Answers:
It's not healthy. You should keep the food in fridge to keep it fresh. You should eat fresh meal, not left out old meal in order to prevent from sicknesses.

both should be fine as long as they were not refrigerated and left out. also, if you did not add perishable ingredients to it, such as milk or butter.

NO. Use the 4 hour rule. anything left out over 4 hours is bad.

No, i don't think it's a good idea

yes.but if it is 1 month then no way!

NOPE! Unless you like maggots in your rice.

for your health don't eat it

Well, you won't die, but I'd just make something else to eat if I were you.

No
Cooked Rice which has not been stored correctly (refrigerated) is one of the most common sources of food poisoning.

yes.if you want to die.
jk. yes it will be ok after you do this...
soak in a pot of olive oil for 28 hours in the fridge then take it out and soak in water with a quarter cup of paprika. then refrigerate again and eat away!
or.....go to the store and buy new corn.

How to grow bacteria levels. recipe:
1.Water/moisture
2.Food ( example rice or canned corn)
3.time ( example 24 hrs)
4.Temperature (best is between 50 and 110 degrees F)

Was the corn still sterile when left out?
Was the rice sterile when left out?
was the container sterile that held them for the 24 hrs.
If yes to all of this then go ahead and eat it.
If not sterile then every 20 minutes at room temperature the level of bacteria will about double. That amount of time is troublesome.
