Can diet coke cause?!

Question:

Can diet coke cause?

pimples? Everytime after I drink soda the next day I wake up with a breakout. But if I dont drink it for a day then my face clears up. Could the diet coke and other soda cause this?

Answers:
The soda itself- probably not, unless your allergic to an ingredient. However, caffeine can cause a break out- same as if you drink coffee or eat chocolate. So, I suggest you try caffeine free Coke- Tastes Great, less Acne.

sugar in general tends to cause breakouts for some people

depends on your skin type

many people say caffeine cause pimple.

Yes

sugar can cause pimples but diet coke doesn't have sugar so I don't think that is your cause. sorry

chocolate does that to some people
so yeah, maybe

I don't think so. Maybe you're allergic to something in it. Are you getting hives?

When I was in Jr. High and High School, I went through a time where I couldn't drink any colas or Mountain Dew because of the artificial color in them. I COULD drink 7-Up and Sprite, as well as Ginger Ale. Since I could drink the colorless drinks but not the ones colored with caramel color, my Mom and I deduced that the coloring was causing me to break out. I thankfully don't have that problem anymore.

If you have trouble with things that have caramel color, you might also want to steer clear of any dairy product that contains carrageenan. It is a seaweed that is added so that dairy products will remain whipped...basically a food expander...so you end up buying air. I continue to have an allergy to carrageenan and my face will break out into painful spots if I eat anything that contains it. The same thing happens to my husband, so I know it isn't just my imagination.

Yes

you might be allergic to that kind of coke i no when i was allergic to makeup way back when my face would brake out wiht pimples. try an off brand and see what happens
