Can you make flowers with buttercream frosting and freeze them for later use?!

Question:

Can you make flowers with buttercream frosting and freeze them for later use?

Has anyone tried this? I made a batch of wilton buttercream icing to taste test for a cake I need Saturday. If I make flowers with it can I freeze them?

Freeze them immediately after making and carefully so they keep their shape, or they might taste a little rancid.

I have done this before, it works fine. It is very convenient since making the flowers can be both difficult and time-consuming. I bid you the best of luck and hope all goes well!

Also, I commend you for being able to make the flowers & keeping your patience with them -- I know I got frustrated and just quit when trying to make them...

I've never tried it myself, but I've had people I know try it and they said that it worked.
Good luck with your cake
