Be careful. If you plan on getting some cash out of your idea, you had better seek the advice of a lawyer.
I once had the idea of making pies to suit the time of day, eg. Bacon and egg pie for breakfast, Mutton curry or beef mince pies for lunch and pie special for dinner, which would include a free mini milk tart or similar and sent my idea off to the biggest pie franchise in the country. A few months later these pies hit the market with minor adjustments made and still today I have not had a word from the franchise, not even a letter to thank me...
Why don't you get in touch with some of the people from the Food Network. Just go to the website and ask. Don't give up your idea to them, though. Or contact a company that produces similar products. Keep hard documentation of your correspondence.
